John, is there a deep moral behind "Being John Malkovich"?
Yes, that such is life.
I've heard you are writing a book on your life. Is it true?
Indeed! It is lamentable that I have little time to write. Recently I've seen the cover illustration of "Pride and Prejudice", and I found it more or less passable. Thus, I've asked my agent to contact the author - a certain Jane Austen - because I need a ghost writer, but for the moment I've not received any answer.
When your are not on the set, which is your favorite pastime?
I think that collecting and trading dummies rests my mind.
Which is the most blush-making DVD (or VHS) in your possession?
Caramba! Apart from "Hobgoblins", probabably it is "Tiptoes" or "The Adventures Of Rocky & Bullwinkle".
If I may say so, John, you are also well known for your singular demands when staying in hotels. Could you tell us why and maybe make an example of something you may ask?
Call it pigheadedness, but I can't live without an albine kitten or baobab bark delivered daily to my room.
What do you think about the international situation?
Crickety! I think it is currently quite bleak, since in these torn times there are regions where it is impossible to find even a passable cheeseburger.
Which is your favorite karaoke song?
My ideal karaoke song for any occasion is "Heart of Gold" by Neil Young.
Can we play the "word association" game? I tell you a concept and you say the first word that comes to mind. I begin with :
John : hope
John : darkness
John : extermination
We are going nowhere fast...
