When your are not on tour, which is your preferred pastime?
I think that collecting and trading garden gnomes rests my mind. I like to paint them in blue and violet.

Mary, what's your vice?
I do too much for people that don't merit any of it. Well, probably you are going to condemn me for that. Fortunately another vice of mine is not giving a damn.

Mary, which is your method for spotless skin?
As you may have expected, it is a bath in lukewarm cement once a week.

Which is your favorite snack?
Rice grains with margarine, a roasted peanut, three steaks, and a few drops of gin.

Where did you go on your last vacation?
Last month I leased an elegant palace on the hidden mountains of Luxembourg. The contract included a mined drawbridge to ensure my privacy but also a horde of local extras portraying shutterbugs.

What’s the best sound in the world?
Surely it is the relaxing sound of a bunch of new banknotes kissing each other. However, my agent urges you to write instead something more crowd-pleasing, like "the first 'mom' of your tot" or "the joyous laugh of a light-hearted kid ".

Do people scream your name and ask for autographs everywhere you go?
Drats! I dig people's mind. I really make no distinction as to race, sex, or religion: I'm known to delight affluent NASA scientists and crestfallen roadkills collectors in the same fashion. You know? There are at least 13 boulevards with my name in three different countries, not counting Swaziland and Equestria, which I'm not sure are actually countries.

Do you like to cook?
Positively no! But I like to create salads. My most cherished one is a mix of beef jerk and lima beans, which I presume can accomodate both vegans and normal people.

Intriguing! Would you like to share the recipe with us?
May so! You take the beef jerk and the lima beans and you make a bunch of sandwiches using some rye bread.

It does not matter, I derived the recipe from one for a sandwich. So you make the sandwiches, then you cast off the bread and mix beef jerk and lima beans with some dill and voilà, you are done!

And now a bunch of numbers which are not Mary J. Blige's secret telephone number :

To be frank, my director had patiently lined up my rendezvous with Mary J. Blige several months beforehand. Unfortunately, my pet zebra got jaundice, so I had to skip the meeting. So, the interview above is essentially based on what Mary J. Blige would have probably answered if I have met her, as indicated by a statistics involving a couple of random people.
